HDPE Tee

Gamson manufactures high-performance Injection Moulded Equal Tees, designed to facilitate a 90-degree branch connection in HDPE piping systems while maintaining the same pipe diameter across all three outlets. Unlike fabricated tees made from pipe sections, these moulded fittings are produced as a single, seamless unit. This provides superior structural strength and a uniform wall thickness, making them the preferred choice for high-pressure water, gas, and industrial distribution networks.

Key Features

  • Seamless Injection Moulded Design: Produced under high pressure as a single piece, eliminating the internal beads or weak points found in fabricated joints.
  • High Pressure Performance: Available in PN 10 (SDR 17) and PN 16 (SDR 11) ratings, ensuring they can handle significant hydraulic surges.
  • PE100 Virgin Resin: Manufactured using top-tier PE100 material, offering high resistance to environmental stress cracking (ESCR) and long-term hydrostatic strength.
  • Zero Corrosion: Being non-metallic, the tee is immune to rust, scale, and galvanic corrosion, ensuring it remains maintenance-free for a service life of 50+ years.
  • Uniform Internal Bore: Precision-engineered to ensure a smooth transition and minimal pressure drop across the junction.

Primary Applications

  • Water Main Reticulation: Creating distribution branches in municipal potable water networks.
  • Gas Distribution: Providing secure, leak-proof branch connections in MDPE/HDPE gas pipelines.
  • Industrial Cooling Loops: Distributing process water or cooling fluids across multiple machine banks.
  • Fire Fighting Systems: High-integrity junctions for underground fire hydrant mains.
  • Mining & Slurry Transport: Robust junctions for abrasive material transport lines where structural reliability is critical.

Installation Guidelines

  1. Face Preparation: Use a hydraulic butt-fusion machine to plane the pipe ends and the tee faces. This removes oxidation and ensures a perfectly flat surface for fusion.
  2. Alignment: Secure the tee in the machine clamps. Ensure the branch is oriented in the correct direction for the project layout before beginning the heat cycle.
  3. Heating Cycle: Apply the heating plate according to the temperature and time specifications based on the diameter and SDR.
  4. The Fusion Joint: After heating, quickly remove the plate and bring the components together. A proper joint will be indicated by a uniform double bead around the entire circumference.
