Cable Sealing Plug

Cable Sealing Plug

After a fiber optic cable is pulled through an underground plastic pipe (HDPE duct), a gap is left between the cable and the inside of the pipe. If this gap is left open, water, mud, dirt, and bugs can flood in and damage the network. The GAMSON Cable Sealing Plug (also called a Simplex Plug) is a smart, mechanical rubber stopper made specifically to wrap around the cable and seal that open gap tightly.

Made by Gamson India Pvt. Ltd. from tough plastic and high-quality rubber, these plugs are split right down the middle into four quarters. This clever design means workers can easily snap them around cables that are already installed, without having to cut the wire or turn off the network signal. By keeping out water and dirt, the plug keeps the fiber optic cable safe and dry, saving the network from expensive breakdowns.

Key Features

  • Easy Snap-On Design: The plug splits in pieces so workers can quickly install it around cables that are already in place, without disconnecting anything.
  • Water and Gas Tight: When tightened, the rubber part swells up to seal the gap perfectly, stopping high-pressure water, mud, and gases from getting in.
  • Holds Cable Steady: It grips the cable firmly in the center of the pipe, keeping it from moving around or bending too sharply when the ground shifts.
  • Built to Last Underground: Made from strong materials that will not rust, crack, or rot, even when buried in harsh, wet, or acidic soil for years.
  • Made as per TEC Specifications: Gamson Simplex Plugs are manufactured as per TEC 72030:2025 or latest.
