DWC HDPE Pipe for Electrical
Gamson India Pvt. Ltd. manufactures and supplies DWC HDPE Pipes for Electrical Applications designed for the protection and safe routing of underground electrical cables and power distribution networks. Manufactured using High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE), these Double Wall Corrugated (DWC) Pipes combine a strong corrugated outer wall with a smooth inner wall to provide mechanical protection for cables while facilitating easier cable installation.
DWC HDPE Pipes are widely used as underground cable ducts in electrical infrastructure, utility networks, road and highway projects, industrial facilities, residential developments, and other construction applications. These corrugated HDPE Pipes are appropriate for applications where electrical power cables or communication cables require reliable protection against external loads and environmental conditions. The corrugated outer wall provides high structural strength and resistance to external pressure by resisting crushing forces. The smooth internal surface of DWC pipes allows electrical and communication cables to be pulled through the duct with comparatively lower friction.
Gamson DWC HDPE Pipes are available in sizes ranging from 40 mm O.D. to 300 mm O.D. and can be supplied as per applicable standards like IS 16205 (PART-24) or project-specific requirements. Their lightweight construction makes them easier to transport and install, while the inherent corrosion and chemical resistance of HDPE enables reliable performance in underground environments. DWC pipes are highly cost economical when compared to conventional solid wall HDPE Pipes.

Key Features
- High External Load Resistance: The corrugated outer wall provides structural strength and helps the DWC HDPE Pipe withstand external soil and traffic loads encountered in underground electrical installations.
- Smooth Inner Surface: The smooth internal wall facilitates cable pulling and installation while minimizing friction between the cable and the inside surface of the duct.
- Effective Cable Protection: DWC HDPE Pipes provide a protective pathway around electrical cables, helping shield them from mechanical impact, soil pressure, moisture, and other environmental factors.
- Corrosion and Chemical Resistance: HDPE is resistant to corrosion and many chemicals commonly found in soil, making these pipes suitable for long-term underground cable ducting applications.
- Lightweight Construction: Compared with many conventional rigid cable protection systems, DWC HDPE Pipes offer a high strength-to-weight ratio, making transportation, handling, and installation easier.
- Flexible and Durable: The inherent flexibility and toughness of HDPE allow the pipe to withstand normal handling and installation stresses while providing reliable long-term performance.
Common Applications
- Underground Power Cable Protection: DWC HDPE Pipes are used as protective ducts for underground electrical and power cables, providing a defined pathway and additional mechanical protection.
- Electrical Distribution Networks: These pipes are suitable for underground distribution systems used to route power cables between substations, distribution points, and end-use areas.
- Road and Highway Projects: DWC electrical ducts are installed beneath roads, highways, bridges, and other transportation infrastructure to protect electrical cables from traffic and excavation-related loads.
- Industrial Electrical Infrastructure: Factories, manufacturing plants, warehouses, and industrial facilities use DWC HDPE Pipes for organized underground routing of electrical and utility cables.
- Residential and Commercial Developments: DWC HDPE electrical ducts are suitable for underground power distribution in housing projects, commercial complexes, townships, and other developed areas.
- Utility and Infrastructure Projects: These pipes can be used in electrical utility corridors and infrastructure projects where cables need a durable underground protective duct.
