Gamson manufactures high-quality Injection Moulded HDPE End Caps, designed to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal at the termination point of an HDPE pipeline. Unlike temporary mechanical plugs, these end caps are fused directly to the pipe using Butt Fusion or Electrofusion techniques. This creates a homogeneous joint that is as strong as the pipe itself, making it ideal for high-pressure water, gas, and industrial fluid systems.

  • Single-Piece Construction: Injection moulded as a solid unit with no seams or weak points, ensuring maximum pressure resistance.
  • High Pressure Integrity: Available in PN 10 (SDR 17) and PN 16 (SDR 11) ratings to match the operating pressure of the rest of the network.
  • PE100 Material Grade: Produced from virgin PE100 resin, offering superior environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and a service life of 50+ years.
  • Corrosion & Chemical Resistance: Completely immune to rust and the corrosive effects of chemicals, making it suitable for direct burial in any soil condition.
  • Smooth Internal Profile: Precision engineering ensures no internal obstructions, which is critical for systems that may later be extended or cleaned.

Primary Applications

  • Permanent Line Termination: Sealing the ends of water mains, gas lines, or industrial pipelines that have reached their final destination.
  • Future Expansion Points: Capping a line that is intended to be extended at a later date; the cap can be cut off when the extension is ready to be fused.
  • Pressure Testing: Used to seal sections of a pipeline during hydrostatic pressure testing to ensure the integrity of the network.
