HDPE Puddle Flange
Gamson manufactures high-quality HDPE Puddle Flanges, specifically designed for use in concrete structures where a pipeline must pass through a wall or floor. A puddle flange (also known as a wall-entry seal) acts as a mechanical barrier and a water-stop. It prevents water from tracking along the outside of the pipe and entering or exiting a basement, water tank, or manhole. By being cast directly into the concrete, it ensures a permanent, watertight penetration.
Key Features
- Watertight Barrier: The central disc (the "puddle") effectively stops the passage of water along the external surface of the pipe, even under high hydrostatic pressure.
- Monolithic Construction: Gamson puddle flanges are typically manufactured as a single, solid unit with the pipe section or are fused using high-strength welding to ensure no leakage at the joint.
- Superior Concrete Bonding: The HDPE material and the flange design are engineered to sit securely within the concrete pour, creating a reliable seal once the concrete cures.
- Corrosion & Chemical Resistance: Since the entire fitting is made of PE100/PE80, it is immune to the corrosive nature of concrete additives, sewage, and acidic groundwater.
- Flexible Integration: These can be supplied as a complete "puddle pipe" section that is butt-fused or joined via electrofusion into the main pipeline.

Primary Applications
- Water Storage Tanks: Used for inlet, outlet, and overflow pipes passing through concrete tank walls to prevent external leakage.
- Basements & Underground Structures: Ensuring that utility pipes (water, gas, or telecom) entering a building through the foundation do not allow groundwater to seep in.
- Manholes & Wet Wells: Providing a secure seal where HDPE sewer or drainage pipes enter or exit concrete manhole chambers.
- Swimming Pools & Water Features: Managing pipe penetrations in reinforced concrete shells to maintain a perfectly sealed environment.
- Culverts & Bridges: Used in civil infrastructure where drainage pipes must pass through reinforced concrete abutments.
