HDPE Reducing Tee

HDPE Reducing Tee

Gamson manufactures high-performance Injection Moulded Reducing Tees, designed to facilitate a 90-degree branch connection where the branch pipe is of a smaller diameter than the main pipeline. These fittings are essential for efficient fluid distribution, allowing you to tap off a secondary line without the need for additional reducers or complex fabricated joints. Being injection moulded, they offer superior structural integrity and a seamless internal finish compared to fabricated alternatives.

Key Features

  • Integrated Diameter Transition: Combines a 90-degree junction and a size reduction into a single fitting, reducing the total number of joints in the system and lowering the risk of leaks.
  • Seamless Moulded Construction: Produced as a single, solid unit under high pressure, ensuring uniform wall thickness and eliminating the internal beads or weak points found in mitred fabricated tees.
  • PE100 High-Density Resin: Manufactured from virgin PE100 material, providing exceptional resistance to environmental stress cracking (ESCR), UV radiation, and aggressive chemicals.
  • High Pressure Performance: Available in PN 10 (SDR 17) and PN 16 (SDR 11) ratings, making them suitable for high-surge water mains and pressurized gas networks.
  • Optimal Flow Efficiency: The internal geometry is precision-molded with a smooth transition at the branch, minimizing turbulence and pressure drops.

Primary Applications

  • Water Main Tapping: Connecting a smaller residential or commercial service line to a larger municipal water main.
  • Irrigation Networks: Branching off smaller lateral lines from a large-diameter main header to feed specific sprinkler zones.
  • Gas Distribution: Providing secure, leak-proof branch connections for service lines in MDPE/HDPE gas networks.
  • Industrial Processing: Distributing process water or chemicals from a central pipe to smaller machine-level inlets.
  • Fire Hydrant Loops: Tapping fire hydrant riser pipes from a larger underground fire-water loop.
